Mustard is a condiment in the form of a thick yellow or yellow-brown paste made from ground mustard seeds mixed with water, vinegar, salt, sugar, ground spices, oil or other liquid. It may be colored with turmeric. It has a sharp, slightly to strongly hot taste. It is usually preserved with benzoic acid.
