Green pepper is made from the unripe drupes of the same plant as black pepper. It is extremely aromatic and very spicy. It gives a distinctive note to dishes, which perfectly complements the taste of stewed dishes, such as stews or sauces. It is added to meat sauces or to add a bit of spicy flavour to béchamel sauce. It also goes well with fish. Green pepper can also be added to some desserts to enhance their taste and aesthetic value.
